A breath of fresh air in an uncertain world: what i learnt from Goki

A student named Goki asked me to explain Singapore’s education system.I wondered why he would be interested in something technical and administrative.

His answer completely shifted my perspective on ambition. He said he wanted to study Singapore’s framework to find ideas that could help reform Japan’s education system.

That surprised me. I had always thought of youth ambition and entrepreneurship as things like starting a business or creating a product.

Goki showed me a different kind of drive. One that wasn’t about personal profit but about shaping a whole national system for the good of future generations. Something that would impact a whole country and its youths rather than just himself.

Meeting someone, with such a vision was truly inspiring.

When people say “dream big” i thought i knew what they meant, but i had never heard of a dream as ambitious and unique as goki. It was like finding a needle in a haystack.
It reminded me that real ambition doesn’t follow stay within limits.

It challenged me to think bigger, to dream larger and to question how far I could push my goals. It showed me that there are no limits on how big dreams could get.
