Upcycled Carnival Games

Client: Cantonment Primary School

Experiences: Hands-on Making, Game Design

Themes: Environmental sustainability, Marine conservation

In 2023, 2024 and 2025, we guided Cantonment Primary P5 students to create cardboard carnival games for their annual environmental-themed festival.

Over 2 sessions of 2.5 hours, the students learnt about an environmental issue then designed and created a game to educate others.

With the expert guidance of our trainers, the class collaborated on game ideas, and then created visually appealing games thanks to a painting station that we set up in the school.

Biomimicry Invention Jam

Client: Deyi Secondary School

Experiences: Biomimicry learning journey, Invention & Design Thinking

Themes: Food sustainability

We organised a learning journey to Kampung Kampus for 24 students from Deyi Secondary that included a highly interactive biomimicry tour. For example, students poured water on the lotus leaf and saw that it simply rolled off, suggesting that the leaf has a unique adaptation to keep the surface clean.

They were then challenged to design a floating farm with inspiration from water hyacinth. Using waste materials, the students excitedly created and presented their prototypes.

In just 2 hours, the students gained a deep appreciation for nature’s wonders and a feel of a career in innovation/ product design.
